Tammi Gray earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Organizational Leadership with a concentration in organizational psychology from The Chicago School, Los Angeles, CA, a Master of Science in Leadership & Management, with a concentration in Human Resources Management from the University of La Verne, La Verne, CA., and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
Dr. Gray is an equity-minded Organizational and Social Psychologist with a diverse career spanning over 15 years in Organizational Leadership. With expertise in Human Resources Management, Information Technology, and Higher Education, she has contributed to the success of esteemed companies, consistently ranked among the Best Companies to Work For and listed in the Fortune 100 and Fortune 500. Notable among these are Source Interlink Media, Inland Empire Health Plan, Illumina, and World Wide Technology. More specifically, as a transformational leader with prowess in learning and development, change management, and team dynamics (globally dispersed, proximal, and distal), as it relates to helping organizations improve cultural integration through metacognition coaching, leadership-followership synergies, cultivating group processes through change readiness and adult learning methods and principles. Underscoring her adroitness in optimizing the success of organizations and her ability to identify and address interpersonal and behavioral organizational factors.
Beyond her leadership roles, Dr. Gray is a college professor at Pacific Oaks College, at the School of Business Organizational Leadership & Management graduate studies. As a scholar, Dr. Gray continually expands her erudition through rigorous research, stays abreast of the latest developments in her field, and generously shares her expertise with others, inspiring a love of learning among her students and colleagues. The combination of practical experience, scholarly pursuit, and a passion for education defines her multidisciplinary approach to social psychology in organizational contexts.
Dr. Gray's most notable scholarship accomplishments and contributions to leadership and STEM communities include authoring a quantitative dissertation on Factors in the Career Advancement of Women Leaders of Color in IT: Mentorship, Leadership, and Career Sponsorship. Her current research interests encompass the psychology of group dynamics and intergroup relations, explicitly exploring unconscious biases and investigating culture and ethnicity's impact on social cognition, behavior, and identity.
Furthermore, Dr. Gray's impact extends beyond research. In 2021, she received the Women of Color STEM Technology All-Star Award, acknowledging her significant contributions to the technology profession. Expanding upon this acknowledgment, she was bestowed with the World Kindness Award in 2021 and the She Inspires Me Award (SIMA) in 2022, underscoring her dedication to mentoring and volunteerism.
